CLASS HISTORY Take Me Out to the Ball Game ” STRIKE ONE . . . and here we come onto the field as Freshmen, facing the inning of initiation as flappers from the Roaring Twenties. The manager of our team, Mr. Dondes, guides us through our early innings and leads us to second place in the Magazine Drive. Not bad for a freshman team! At the end of our first game, we bid farewell to our big brothers and sisters, the Seniors. STRIKE TWO We enter our second game with high hopes. Autumn Nocturne”, our Sophomore dance, and second place in the Magazine Drive account for our hits, as does the feature movie we showed. And remember Auntie Mame”? STRIKE THREE The third game brings both hits and errors. The errors include third place in the Magazine Drive and a dance, Let the Good Times Roll”. They didn’t. Blue Mist”, our Junior Prom, scores a run. And we send the team to the showers. WE’RE OUT . . . and here we come onto the field, finally in the home stretch! Now our team has the run of initiation, training the freshman rookies how to play ball, and giving the Bonnet Bop”. The Berlin Fair booths and SENIOR- AMA”, our Senior Class show, score well. Joyce Mattson as homecoming queen is also a hit. We throw out the last ball — our Senior Ball. Class night and gradua- tion conclude the final game, and to the strains of Pomp and Circumstance”, we march off the field. 25
