This year, there are two new features in the Echo. They are the new Executive type done on an IBM electric typewriter, and the Sponsor page for the names of the parents and local merchants. East fall the yearbook staff attended a yearbook workshop sponsored by the Inter-Collegiate Press Association at Blufton, Ohio. The Highlites put out six issues this year. The paper has received many excelled and superior ratings in the past years. Sharon Smith, Rachel Bristol, Sharon Coughlin, and Bertha Green attended a journalism workshop for a week last .Tune at Ohio University.

In the past year, the local chapter attended the district land judging contest in which they received first place. The members of the team were Tom Ward, Tim Gammie, and Clark Hahn. By winning the district, it gave them the right to attend the state contest in which they placed very high. The crops, netting $218, were planted and harvested during the year. I At Christmas the chapter sold Christmas trees.
