The High School choir sang at the P. T. A. meeting on October 14, at which members of Congress were present, David Baumhart being the prin- ciple speaker. During the Christmas season the choir sang as a combined unit with the Junior - High choir. The choir sang at the World Day of Prayer at the local Congrega- tion Church. Late last summer, on August 16, the Erie County Band played at the Sandusky Air Progress Show in Sandusky. Through September, the band played at several football games, both at home and away. On October 6, they went on a field trip to Columbus to see the football game at Ohio State University. They also built the first prize-winning float at the Homecoming Day ceremonies. The Erie County Band played at several basketball games. In May the Erie County Band played in a concert at the Milan Aud - itorium. The Latin Club and some of the Spanish students went to Cleveland to visit the Cleveland Art Museum in November. The members attended the J. C. L. convention April 10 at Ohio State in Columbus. They visited Margaretta in April to see the show, Julius Caesar. They held their annual Latin Week 1 2 April 27 to May 1 and had their banquet late in May.
