The Berlin Heights Group was host for the county FTA meet- ing on December 3» Mr. C. K. Dewitt, Executive Head of the Vermilion Schools, was the speaker for that evening. The P. H. A. Pormal Initiation wae held on November 15 at Milan. Barbara King, Mary Opfer, Lydia Moon, Judy Kraus, and Patricia Ball- ash attended the only bl — county meeting which was held at Milan on November 15. The annual P. H. A. Christmas Party was held on December 17. The sophomore girls put on a skit called ■Puppy Love. In December Loretta Pine won the local and county cherry pie con- test. On February 8, she and Mrs. Buth Bosekelly went to Canton, where Loretta participated In the state contest. Talent Night was held January The P. H. A. girls went to the Flower Show In Cleveland March 11. They sponsored a record hop April 5» Five delegates from Berlin Heights were sent to the State P. H. A. Convention In Columbus, April 26. The chapter participated In a bl - county style show on Kay 7 and sponsored the annual Mother-Daughter Banquet on May 8. A girls' basketball team was organized by the P. H. A. girls with Mrs. Huth Rosekelly supervisor of the team. LATIN CLUB The Latin Club was formed thl3 year by the Latin classes and their advisor. Mrs. Irene Galch. The club Is a member of the Junior Classical League, both the state and national organizations. The Latin Club members went to a convention In Columbus, March 29. As a money making project, they sold Christmas candy over the Christmas holidays. An assembly program was given by the Latin classes April 15, opening Latin Week. Exhibits were placed In the library during that week. A Roman Banquet was held In the school cafeteria May 11.
