But now it's almost time for leavin' And the things I feel inside are very hard to say. Remember the dreams we dreamed together. All of the joys we shared in getting to today, Now just one more time before you leave me. Reach out and take my hand and help me walk away. It's time for movin' on my friend. Hold back all the tears and sorrow. It's finally time to go our separate ways And I want to wish you well, my friend, As we search for new tomorrows. Go as you must but please, Don't forget the yesterdays .. . Don Besig MOUMAJMSKS The Class of 1981 would like to dedicate this year's Mountaineer to Mrs. Donna Van Zandt and Mrs. Susan Schauder. Mrs. Van Zandt grew up in Berne, N.Y., and she graduated from high school there. She got her Bachelor's Degree at the State University at Cortland. She started teaching Physical Education at Berlin Central in September of 1973. Mrs. Schauder is originally from Mt. Kisco, N.Y. She graduated from the State University of Plattsburgh, and she went on to Queens College in Flushing, N.Y., to receive her Master's Degree. Mrs. Schauder began teaching Home Economics at Berlin Central in September of 1973. Mrs. Van Zandt and Mrs. Schauder are the 1981 Senior Class Advisors and have worked very closely with the students to make their senior year a success. They have planned fund-raising activities such as bake sales, in order to make it possible for a two-night senior trip. They also made it possible to have a Senior Swim Night and many other activities. Both Mrs. Schauder and Mrs. Van Zandt continually show interest in the students here at BCS, not only as our teachers, but as our friends. For these reasons, we proudly dedicate our yearbook to Mrs. Susan Schauder and Mrs. Donna Van Zandt for all the dedication they have given to our class. PKW6WACS’ MSSSAQSS On behalf of the faculty and staff, I extend to you, the graduat- ing class of 1981, best wishes. We have had the pleasure of watching you grow and develop into fine young adults, and we have confidence that you will re- present yourselves well as you leave this phase of your lives and enter into a complex, technologi- cal society as ours. You are our hope; you are our future; we wish you well. Frank C. Schmidt Frank C. Schmidt It is with great pleasure that we ex- tend to you, the graduates of 1981, our sincere congratulations and best wish- es. Your years with us have provided you with a great deal and the future will now enable you to make the best of what you have accomplished. William R. Fairs William R.
