THE SEWING CLUB meets the first and third Wednesday of each month under the sponsorship of Mrs. Wakeland. Membership is open to eighth and ninth grade girls. Choice of project is left up to the individual student, so a variety of garments are always underway. THE FUTURE TEACHERS organization is nation wide and is for students who plan on careers in teaching. Students must have a B average to participate. Mrs. Kruez, an English and Social Studies teacher, sponsors the club. Students must earn twenty hours a semester by helping teachers or tutoring at Valley Woods. The Future Teachers have planned many activities including a winter dance, bake sales, and bagel sales. Although the membership works hard,'we hope this organization will prove to be re- warding and a lot of fun! Elected officers are President, Beth Freeman, Vice-President, Drew Horton: Secretary, Karen Gunkelp Treasurer, Cathy Bessetteg and Historian, Gail Casson xii' M
