FUTURE TEACHERS I 1 . The Future Teachers Club is sponsored by Miss Robsky. The president is Denise Wright, vice-president is Lynn Lindsay. They are aided by Lisa Detlefs, secretary, Connie Wilson, treasurerg Sue Diskin, historian. This is primarily a service organ- ization consisting of ninth grade girls considering teaching as their goal. For service hours they tutor at Valley Woods Elementary School and correct papers for teachers here at Berkshire. The Sewing Club, sponsored by Mrs. Wakeland, meets twice each month on Wed- nesday after school. The girls bring in projects of their own choice and the sponsor gives direction as needed. 1 .iE. .' Officers are: Kim Loprete, presidentg Diane Murphy, secretary- treasurer. Sponsors are Mrs. Funk and Miss Reagan . Activities this year included a real French dinner which the A. F. S. student at Groves attended and Christmas Caroling. The purpose of the Spanish Club is to foster an apprec- iation of the Spanish language and of the cultures of the countries Whose official language is Spanish. Club mem- bers are encouraged to participate in the annual Foreign Language Festival for junior high school students in the Birmingham school system. I H517 f , , The function of the Coin Club is to give interested students a greater knowledge of coins and advantage in obtaining coins that they would otherwise have difficulty in finding. The club's activities include monthly meetings, coin auctions, and coin trades. Mark Galecki served as club president with Ronnie Vanderhagen, vice presidentg Rob Huler, secretaryg jeff Matte, treasurerg Mrs. Randall, adviser. The Stamp Club, sponsored by Mr. Roock, studies, acquires, trades and identifies stamps and collecting equipment. The club visited stamp shows, stores and auctions.
