Spiritual Emphasis Week Fred Renich, Director of Missionary Internship, served as special speaker for spiritual empha- sis week. Mr. Fred Renich, Director of Missionary Internship in Detroit, Michigan, served as special speaker for spiritual emphasis week, October 21-24. His ministry combined messages on practical Christian living with personal counseling. His beaming smile and dry sense of humor, but most of all his hum- ble dedication to his master, Christ Jesus made him a dynamic evangelist. Throughout the week he challenged each person to be- lieve that God loved him in spite of failures and limitations. God knew what he was get- ting when He chose you was an encourage- ment to each of us. Mr. Renich also made a lasting impression on us all as he spoke concerning the vanity of possesions. Whose things are they? made each student stop and question his own life's values. We praise God for having had the chance of sitting under the preaching of such a man of God and pray that because of that week we might walk a little more closely to our Savior for the rest of our days. Conference. - 1968 November ninth through the thir- teenth were days of special blessing at Berkshire as Mission Conference, 1967, held its twenty-second annual session. Throughout the conference, the theme So Send l You, became a per- sonal command in the lives of many students as they sat under such serv- ants of God as: Rev. Russell Rusty Baker, Jr. from Tanzania, East Africa, Rev. and Mrs. lan Anderson who work with the Chinese people of the Philip- pines, Miss Sylvia Whitman, an Advent Christian missionary in Japan, Miss Luree Wotton, who brought reports from the Advent Christian work in the Philippines, Rev. Jonas Cohen from the American Board of Missions to the Jews in New York City, and our dear friend, Rev. Joseph Baucom, Secretary of the American Advent Mission So- ciety. Dynamic and heart rending mes- sages were also felt as the various dis- plays were viewed. In winning order, they represented the Soph's who pre- sented needy U. S. A.g the Freshmen with live senoritas and senors from Mexico, the Juniors who portrayed war-torn Czechoslovakia under the theme Tortured for Christ, and the Seniors with a colorful sampling of Japan. With grateful hearts we praise God for all that Mission Conference, 1968 meant and pray that each one of us might be willing to be sent wherever our wonderful Lord should desire. demonstration given by Mr. Rosen a representa- Mrs. lan Anderson addressing a morning Chapel service during Mission
