Probably no highlight of the college year outshines the annual Youth Con- ference. B.C.C. Youth Conferences are organized and carried out by a cabinet of students with faculty advisors. Each year after the conference the cabinet elects two co-chairmen for the coming year. The co-chairmen then select members to fill the vacancies that have occurred within the cabinet. One hour Christian Education and field work cre- dit is given to cabinet members who participate and are faithful in atten- dance. While only a limited number of students actually plan the conference, every student finds himself involved before and during that first weekend in May. Phyllis Rand and Dave Brown head up this years' 23 member cabinet. l Youth GI-isgfgflfe if ..,'f 5u!' 3 l Roger Brown, Art, Dennis Gough, workshop, Bob Atory, music, Ray Marco, music, Ed Neal, prayer, Al Currier, treas- urer, Phil Reynard, accommodations, Carroll Pol.k, techni- cal, Art Stone, altar workers, Leonard Lester, Publicity, Dave Brown, Co-Chairman. Radio Concern Committee tl l rl Eric Anderson, Secretary, Jim Jensen, Treasurer, Bill Ricker, Technical Engineer, Ray Marco, President, Dr. Merrill, Faculty Advisor, Doug Moore, Prayer Chairman. For some time friends of Berkshire Christian College have visualized a radio ministry centered on campus. In the summer of 1968 several seperate people became concerned that the time was ripe to make the effort. Upon returning to campus they were encouraged in sharing their mutual interest, and prayerfully examined the possibilities. A committee was formed, cor- respondence was begun, equipment was gathered, and both students and faculty expressed support. Bill Ricker from down east became chief en- gineer, donating his knowledge, experience, and equipment. Negotiations are still going'on, and the program is still being formed. The committee is drawing up plans for radio ministry training for Christian Education and ministerial students. At present a tape library and studio are being put together. Soon, Lord willing, this area of Western New England will have Christian radio broad- cast distribution over the local stations throughout the denomination.
