Friends Make the Day atBHS Friends come in many sizes and shapes — tall, short, black, white, 9th grade, 12 th grade, even teacher. And when you ' re down, or in trou- ble, or you need a helping hand, or maybe just someone to bum around with, they can ' t be beat. When you get right down to it, friends are just about the best part of school. A friend — someone to turn to — is what makes life bearable. Someone to share the hurts and the joys. Some- one to congratulate you when you have done well, and someone to offer suggestions when you haven ' t — that ' s a friend. We will remember the friends we made at Berkner all of our lives — including other students who were friends, teachers who were friends, and friends who were teachers. 1.
