-Country Team Takes Road To Success Running is the quintessential individual sport. Each step is an existential experience - each moment pits the runner against both the outside world and himself. This year's Varsity Cross Country team, both as individuals and T as a group, met the challenges laid before it. lndividually, Pieter Noordzij, Lisa Goldman, and Robin Shaw achieved Bay Conference Team status. Swimmers Make Waves With last year's coach nowhere to be seen, Mr Lloyd and Mr Morris offered to pick up where he left off. Despite this early setback, the team recovered and achieved some distinction. The medley relay team came in 5th in Districts, missing State's by only three-tenths of a second. Also, Dan Cross came in tenth in the breast stroke. Congratulations to the four girls and ten boys of the Berkeley swim team.
