GERMAN CLUB Der Deutsche Verein (German Club) is a new club at BHS organized to give students the opportunity to participate in extra curricular activities. Some of this year ' s activities in- cludes seeing German films, enjoying German food, both at restaurants and at pot luck din- ners, singing German songs, and celebrating such occations as Fasching (Mardi Gras). SCOTP is the Student Committee on Teacher Performance. This year, as in the past, SCOTP published a booklet for students, rating various BHS teachers. This was done by taking student polls and comments on individual teachers. The purpose of the booklet is to let students see how their peers reacted to certain ways of teaching, so that they, the student might have a choice of teachers for the following semester. SCOTP is Student Senate funded. 64

SKI CLUB The Ski Club was unable to have many trips this year due to the fact that many of the members broke their legs attempting to board the bus. Nooo! Really they were injured try- ing to get on the ski lifts. NOOO . . . seriously folks the hard working presidents, Elise Metzger and David Lee, were able to success- fully organize a few trips. The main objective of these trips, of course, is not to overtire themselves by skiing, but to enjoy the apres ski life. 66
