Ujamaa is a Swahili word meaning Co-operative Economics. It is also the name of the Afrikan-American jour- nalism newspaper. This paper is de- dicated to the free expression of the Af- rikan thought. As such, the Ujamaa provides a platform for the various ideas and opinions of Afrikan-American students on campus. In addition, the Ujamaa prints articles designed to heighten the political and cultural con- sciousness of Afrikan-American people.
