As in past years, a Teachers ' Evalua- tion Handbook rating various BHS tea- chers was published for students again this year by the Teacher Evaluation Commitee. Through the determined ef- forts of the commitee, ranging in num- ber from 6 to 12 members, questions and surveys were distributed to teachers enabling students themselves to rate their teachers. The main body of the commitee, con- sisting of Sandra Wallach and Mark Lowenthal began planning the handbook as early as last summer and obtained their questionaire from college survey questions. Funding was provided by the Student Senate. All work was done dur- ing the commitee ' s spare time and though they had to deal with many pro- blems such as som e teachers protesting the accuracy of the surveys and compu- ter setbacks, the handbook was success- fully published and distributed. 3 . 18

The Student Senate is a council of eight students who perform many highly important tasks, too numerous to mention. Headed by Senate Pres- ident Norman Gee, the Senate had one of its best year ' s ever, passing amazing amounts of legislation. Because most of this year ' s Sen- tors are Seniors, Gee feels that next year ' s senate may not be able to per- form as efficiently as does the cur- rent one. Gee recommends that all new Senators brush regularly. 1. Dana Clark is in a deeply pensive state. 2. Alan Shaw makes an important point. 3. Senators Norman Gee and Robert Lau convince Dan Harmon to join the Senate. 4. Alison Bernstein eats with her mouth full. 5. Senators hold conference. 6. Senator Gee looks busy.
