Curtice Leaves BHS At the end of the present school year, I will have served the Berkeley Public Schools for thirty-two years, interrupted only by four years (1942-1946) of service in the United States Army Reserve. During this seemingly short period of time it has been my extremely good fortune to have been associated with the greatest people in the world: the students who have prog- ressed through our schools, their parents and many other citizens of our community. I consider it the rarest of privileges to have been associated with you and I sincerely hope that I have had some positive influence upon your happiness and well being. There is no job that could have more appeal to me than that of being Principal of Berkeley High School. It has been a great challenge and a real privilege to have served you. Upon my retirement at the conclusion of the present school year, I shall always have the fondest memories of what I con- sider to be one of the great school systems in the United States.
