Senior Friends MELISSA FOSTER Chairman It seems such a short time ago that the Senior Friends were proudly putting on the red-and-gold. beanies for the first time. Now the time has come for us to take them off again. But in the weeks between, this semester ' s crew of sixty-one Senior Friends has worked hard to make our motto, Friendship and Service, come alive. Our activities this term have been many and varied. We served as proctors and did many odd jobs. One of our most important jobs has been to welcome the many girls new to Berkeley High, and to help them find friends and activities. Lunch periods have always found Senior Friends on duty in the lobby and cafeteria. We have helped publicize many school events, and ushered at last semester ' s graduation, our Sr. Play, and other performances. Our activities in connection with the Girls ' Association have included the G.A. Welcome, girl- ask-boy dance, Apple Blossom Time, and the G.A. Dinner. My sincere thanks go to our helpful and patient sponsor, Mrs. Ulry, and my ever-faithful co- chairmen, Tina Loney and Cynthia Smith. But most of all, I thank each and every one of you Senior Friends for the job you have done to make this semester a success.
