SENIOR FRIENDS In keeping with the GA motto, Friendship and Service,” this term's Senior Friends helped in the lobby and cafeteria, acted as proctors the first weeks of school, helped at the L-10 Welcome, served at last term’s Senior Ball, ushered at school assemblies, and had a concession at Fun Nitc with the GA. We also sprouted cars to advertise our Senior Play, Harvey.” But our most important activity was contacting the new girls and making them feel at home at Berkeley High. Thirty-nine girls were chosen as Senior Friends this term. This is a smaller group than those of previous terms, due to the size of our class. However, whatever we lacked in quantity, we made up in quality. My sincere thanks to Mrs. Ulry, our sponsor, for her guidance and help this term, and to Tania Fowlks and Kathy Takafuji, my co-chairmen. Many thanks also to each of the beanie-girls” for their help and cooperation. Serving as chairman and member of the Senior Friends, and as a member of the BOC has been an honor and experience I will never forget. Best of luck to the graduates and to the Senior Friends of the future. Blythe Shelley, Chairman BLYTHE SHELLY Chairman

GORDON KONO Chairman RALLY COMMITTEE Having the privilege of serving on the Rally Committee has been a great honor. It has been an experience I’ll never forget. Through the cooperation of each and every member and the unity of the committee as a whole, we have had a lot of fun together. Of course, this fun wouldn’t have come about without the hard work of each individual. Our concessions, which were the following: selling soft drinks at school dances and the Basketball Toss at Fun Nite, were exceedingly successful. The monetary gains were quite sizable and really bolstered our treasury. We used some of the money for our final get-together of the year which was the Rally Committee Dinner, and we left quite a lump sum for the Rally Committee of next semester. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Assistant Chairmen, Bob Peppin, Dick Jochums and Bob Carver for their full support and fine leadership throughout the semester. I would also like to thank each and every member for his hard work in strengthening and making the Rally Committee the wonderful organization that it is. And on behalf of the Rally Committee, I would like to express our sincerest thanks and deepest admiration to our advisor, Mr. Nealson, whose advice and leadership was invaluable to the committee. Gordon Kono, Chairman %
