It contributes to the total educational growth of students. It is designed to meet the general and specific purposes of the school. Each year the Student Council Association participates in area, state and national conferences. During the 1965-66 school term, Julie Gregory, a senior and the current Council president, represented Berkeley High School and the State Association at the National Stu- dent Council Conference in Tacoma, Washington. Q4 M 677017 M W '55 The choir helps to bring a spiritual meaning and cultural background into the school. It helps to develop the singing ability of the student and to relate him to different forms of music. It gives the student the opportunity to express himself through song. Direc- 'tors of this years choir are Mrs. Iacquelyn Prater and Mrs. Beverly Parker. Dfamaffbf 1 bl Drama Club participation affords pupils the opportunity of expressing themselves through speech and action, to promote their cultural growth through their participation in and their attendance of certain fine arts performances, and to foster their study of the fine arts. Its members participate in destrict and state drama festivals.
