From the Command Control Center, the Operations Specialists of Ol Division collect, evaluate and disseminate the information necessary for the ship to perform its mission. To achieve this the OS' use the ship's electronic sensors fradar, ESM, data linki to provide inputs to the ship's Tactical Data System. Ol assists in a wide variety of other func- tions, tactical maneuvers, navigation, anti- submarine warfare, tactical communications, air control and many others. Electronic Technicians and Electronic Warfare Technicians comprise OE Division. Maintaining the ship's search radar, electronic navigation and com- munication equipment is the ETs job. Despite large quantity of equipment aboard, this is a respon- sibility the ETs fulfill well. Fiadiomen process incoming and outgoing traffic 24 hours a day, both for the ship and for embarked staffs. Even in the middle of the Indian Ocean, radio maintained a two-way Ilnk with the outside world. Flaghoist and flashing light are the means used by the Signalmen for visual com- munications with nearby units.
