JAMES OBROTKA BAND DIRECTOR One of the original pioneers at B.C., Mr. Obrotka has exercised his fine qualities in guiding our band. He teaches Spanish and English. He earned his B.S. and M.A. at Columbia University and has attended Seton Hall and N.Y.U. Presently Working on his Masters in Spanish, Mr. Obrotka, an inter- national student, has also studied in Paris. MR. VVILLIAM I. ROLLINS GUIDANCE DIRECTOR As Bergen Catholic Guidance chairman, Mr. Rollins is also teaching American History and Reading this year. He received his B.S. at St. Peter's, his M.A. at Seton Hall, and his M.B.A. at F airleigh Dickinson. Mr. Rol- lins is also a member of the A.P.G.A., a Catholic guidance organization. 2 MR. MICHAEL A. PICCIALLO As a teacher of World History and Biology Mr. Picciallo will be completing his fourth year at Bergen. As an extra assignment he is engaged in the teaching of the Hne art of football to our Freshmen. He holds a B.S. from Shippensburg State College. .iff

MAEEIOTTA SOCIAL STUDIES CHAIRMAN Teaching American History and coaching our successful basketball teams makes an interesting combination for this seven year veteran at Bergen. Having received his B.A. from Iona College and M.A. from Columbia, Mr. Mazziotta is married and has one child. MR. SALVATORE V. MONTAGNA ENGLISH CHAIRMAN . -' Presently completing his sixth year at -B.C., Mr. Montagna is teaching English and Chemistry. He obtained his B.A. from Iona College, his MLA. from N.Y.U. He has done graduate work in Chemistry at Notre Dame. His line literary talents have brought much praise to the Herald and Emphasis. -'W REV. BRO. MICHAEL S. MCELHATTON Capably handling the complex job as moder- ator of the Crusader, Bro. McElhatton is also teaching Religion, French, and Spanish this year. In his second year at Bergen, Brother is a recipient of a B.A. from Iona College and is a candidate for an M.A. at Seton Hall. MR. PAVIIRICK MURPHY, Another asset to Bergen Catho1ic's faculty is Mr. Murphy. In his second year he is presently teaching Algebra and Biology, and moderates the Biology Club. Receiving his B.A. from the Catho ic University of Amer- ica, he has also attended Fordham Uni- versity. Mr. Murphy is an avid enthusiast of winter sports.

Hs holds a B.S. from Fordham, did post graduate work at Laval University, and is a candidate for his M.S. in Library Science at Columbia. REV. BRO. ROBERT P. WALSH In his third year at B.C., Brother Walsh's talents are employed in teaching Religion, Spanish, and Latin. The hours after school find Brother moderating the ever successful Showtime and the Varsity Tennis team.
