While providing an education that will add a positive mark in our com- munity and in our nation. We thank the Lord for the many rich experiences that will help to develope our character, and strengthen our lives in a very complex society of today. It is our philosophy, that we learn not how to avoid trials and testings, but how to endure and grow by the experiencing of them. I trust that as we go through the pages of this book it will give an honest and positive story of the School year of 1978-79. Two separate groups, one made of older, and the other of younger students have been used extensively in school programs as well as nursing homes through out the area. WHERE WILL YOU SPEND ETERNITY? You can have an assurance of your destination. Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me . In my fathers house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know. John 14: 1 -4 There is also a place prepared for the un- saved. There was a certain rich man, which was clothed in purple and fine linen, and fared sumptuously every day: And there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, which was laid at his gate, full of sores, And desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table: More over the dogs came and licked his sores, And it came to pass that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died, and was buried; And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in torments, and seeth Abraham a far off, and Lazarus in his bosom. And he cried and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me , and said Lazarus, that he may dip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue; for I am tormented in this flame . But Abraham said, Son, remember that thou in thy life time receivedst thy good things, and likewise Lazarus evil things: but now he is comforted, and thou art tormented. ; 20 ATHLETICS BEREAN CHRISTIAN Berean FOOTBALL TEAM Menom Chetek Berean LaX Berean mack row Brian Loomis, Curt Sahlstrom, Terry Oynes, Tim OFynes.
