H. Danforth founded the Ralston Purina Company before the turn of the century, these eight words were already a part of his personal philosophy. It was only natural, therefore, that they become his way of doing business. Today, these same words, framed by a now famous trademark, comprise the Four-Square business philosophy of the leader in the feed industry — The Ralston Purina Company. Our philosophy today and for the future is the same as that of Mr. Danforth on the day he sold his first bag of feed.
