Look not thou back but forward ' To jobs that pay good money, To gay cafes, swirling formal gowns and sleek block Cadillacs, To grad school or the drumming beat Of marching army feet. Take them and try their worth: there are many days to be. Look forward to the chime Of wedding bells, to cozy home contentment. To baby wails, to grocery bills, to plumbing that needs fixing.
