.1-Q' TATTLER 3 WILLIAM C. I-IOSLER AN APPRECIATION With the passing of William C. Hosler, into the world beyond, on Wednes- day, November T hirty-first Nineteen Twenty one, a manly, unselfish and high- ly eilicient life ended on earth. It is with regret that we must chronicle the death of one our communities most capable men. Mr. Hosler was interested in all that pertained to the welfare of Public Schools. For thirteen years he served as a member of our board of education and for ten years was the able and eiiicient president. For several years before his death he was in the Internal Revenue Service, where he held one of the high positions. Mr. Hosler was a native of Jonestown, resided on a farm in Jackson Town- ship for a timeg taught school for sometime and afterward came to Benton to take charge of the distilling process at the Rohr McHenry Distilling Co. He was an active member in several different lodges including the Benton Masonic Lodge. He held a membership in the Presbyterian Church. While he has passed into the great beyond, the influence he radiated while amongst us will never die. He lives on forever and the good that he has done: the world has been made better for the part he had in itg he surely did not live in vain.
