TATTLER 23 A A -1' if ,Z Hx! T- ' W f k , X ' V i L .5 XX? r6 'N 1 x-'N G -R-R R X SOPHOMORE JINGLE The Sophomore Class is extremely bright, their jest, But always Hnd time to argue and fightg When we peep about we see none but Grant Oh my! He is so exceptionally scant !'f Betty is a bright little lass And radiantly shines in Caesar class. Mable and Lois are both so small, That we are able to see them and that is all. Irene, Joe and Alice migrated from Derrs The land of the hemlock, the pine and firs. Tressa and Sara have been out quite awhile But now they are back with a welcome smile LaRue is Catcher on our baseball team His back is weak and he has little steamy Arden and Alton are the worst lads in class, But still they study enough to pass. Thelma and Reba like skating on the dam And don't even mind if they skid with a slam ! Lola is always up and ready Whenever there is anything to study. Carl Taylor we think is a regular stude And don't y' know-a bit of a dude Lisle and Howdy are always to class Ready to laugh and give p enty of sass Eltheda and Marie have their smile and But just the same they are two of the best. Bob and Norman are from upstream Walking most of the time as if in a dream. Peggy is slim and Peggy is shy And yet can vamp all with the wink of her eye. Mattie has joined the Ubobbed and the curled And quotes My little body wearies of this great world. Mary and Lillian com eto school with a pony Declaring the road to knowledge to be quite stony. Gertrude, Lena and Mary come up on the train And when late, blame it all on the rain. Lois, Charlotte and Ella live in town And are clever lassies of renown. Kathryn and Rosyln come from Waller And they can't be beat as real scholars. Fred, Sam and Oscar live out of town, And are seldom in for English frowns. So here's to the Sophomores of B. V. S. May ourfuture be a success. RUTH LARISH '24

ACOMMOIY SIGHT .FRESHIE -' FRESHMAN PRATTLE Little by little, the Freshies said, As they silently worked their busy heads We are improving every day, Working and working and working away. Little by little their knowledge grew, Day after day they found much to dog The news of their progress spread far and wide, Till the Freshman class was their teach- ers' pride. Little by little, said each girl and boy Each precious moment I will employ, And always the rule in my mind shall dwell, What ever I do, I'll do it well. Little by little I'll learn to know The treasured wisdom of long ago, And sometime, perhaps, B. V. S. will be Proud, that they had sucha class as we. CLAIRE BOWMAN -'25 This Freshman class of forty-eight, Is always busy when it's too late, They never think of things to come But always of something to have some fun. The Freshman heads are big, of course, But nevertheless there are youngsters worse, Miss Robins says the Freshies are green, But the outside is all she ever has seen. The Freshman class is surely a find, They never go lagging along behind. So you must agree we're a great bunch to know, We sure have the Pep, the energy, and thef'Go. CLETUS HARTMAN- '25,
