Miss Etna Morrison To You--Our Scarab We are very proud to dedicate the 1959 Scarab to Miss Etna Morrison, mathematics teacher at Ben- ton Consolidated High School. It was our good for- tune when Miss Morrison came to Benton to teach in 1926, Besides teaching algebra, geometry, and trigonom- etry, Miss Morrison has found time to help and en- courage many students outside school hours. Ter room is always open before and after school to stu- dents who need extra help in their schoolwork. She also has been the sponsor of many classes, accom- panies Speech students on trips, and sponsors the national mathematics society, Mu Alpha Theta. Many students of Miss Morrison have had su- perior records in college and in mathematical fields. We hope we will all measure up to your hig standards, Miss Morrison, and we all would like to say “Thank You” for all your help. :
