SIXTIETH ANNUAL N.H.S. INDUCTION The Sixtieth Annual National Honor Society Induction was held April 24, 1987 in the au- ditoruim. Female members of N.H.S. wore pastel colored dresses and a yellow rose. Male members wore suits with yellow rose boutonniere’s. Those being inducted wore ei- ther white dresses or suits. Speeches were given by old members and the new 1987-88 officers were introduced. Elmer Gentry was chosen as President. Left: Tracy Crenshaw gives her speech on schol- arship. Middle Left: David Sisk carries the flag for posting of the colors and the pledge of allegience Below: Kim Taylor, Lisa Barr, Tina Dykes, and Chris Silvey sing “For the Beauty of the Earth” Bottom: N.H.S. candi- dates Chris Huffman. Jer- emy Huffman, Michelle Huffman, Kim Kretzer, and Mona Long listen to the speeches before re- peating the pledge.

CONZ AND SUMPTER REIGN Benton’s Spring Queen Echo Sumpter and King Derek Conz were coronated in the Springer Gymnasium in the traditional style. The Queen’s court included Kim Taylor, Alesia Cook, Melinda Corkins, Carlene Heit- man, Cristina Waller, and Stacey Wright. The King candidates were Ronnie Anno, Ed Dalsing, Grover Musser, Matt Romesburg, Chris Brant, and Jerry Wheeler. r Freshman Prince and Princess David Whalert and Kaysie Willis. 12 Spring Royally y Sophomore Princess Mi- chelle Tillman and her fa- ther. Junior Prince and Prin- cess Brett Daffron and Debbie Drysdale.
