Above: Mr. John Reece seems to be enjoy- ing the cake Several teachers were honored at the reception given for them in May 1986. Among them were Mrs. Mary Davis, Mr. Welcome Groh, Mrs. Jean Parker, Mr. John Reece and Mrs. Melva English. Each guest was presented a gift from the faculty, a small remembrance to see them on their way to their next area of endeavor. Mr. Reece had taught instrumental music for 17 years at Benton, and Mr. Groh had taught industrial arts for 28 years before retiring. Middle: Mrs. Betty Wilson is “caught” stealing the silver. Senior Cap Throw Be Tradition The 1986 seniors graduated on a hot sunny day in June. The day was very eventful for all since it was full of happiness for some and tears of sadness for others. Many were faced by the thought of leaving their friends and beginning their life on their own. This day was a very memorable day in the eyes of many, and unforget- table for all.
