WoJiwcJ d 1966 Published by The Annual Staff of Benton High School St. Joseph, Missouri 1966 ’ 'U L oam by Doing If you've ever created a painting, diagramed a sentence, kicked a football, solved an equation or stood on your head, you know the best way to learn a thing is to do it for yourself. A teacher or coach can show you how, but you never learn until you try. This is what you find at Benton High School - -students working and playing, learning by doing. Miss Eva Wilson taught English and journalism for many years at Benton. At one time, she sponsored the BEN- TONIAN, and at another, the WAHWAH- LANAWAH staffs. Miss Wilson retired from teaching last year, having served Benton energetically and well. MISS EVA WILSON . .. QIuamjq Q wic tfyYouitv Miss Elizabeth Robertson, who also retired last year, taught algebra to many classes of Bentonites. She was the devoted sponsor of National Honor So- ciety. Miss Robertson was always con- cerned that her students did well at any Benton activity. For service above and beyond the call of teaching we give this place of special honor in our yearbook to Miss Robertson and Miss Wilson. 3 MISS ELIZABETH ROBERTSON Mr. G. M.
