NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY Much time and thought went into the prep- aration of a special study hall. Perhaps the highest goal and most coveted honor a high school student could possibly ob- tain is membership into the National Honor Society. Qualifications for becoming a mem- ber are based on four standards: a high scholas- tic record, service to the school, the abil- ity to lead, and a good character. Two worth-while projects which this or- ganization has been active in creating this past year are making of the new stoles to be used in their spring induction, and a special study hall set up to help those students who are having difficulty in some certain subject. Current members of the National Honor Society. Ray Belcher, President, presides over a regular monthly meeting of the National Honor Society. A committee of Sharon Lohmeyer, Jerrie Haynes, Linda Riley, and Judy Branson were appointed to begin plans of cutting the new stoles.
