Our Vice-Principal Always working hard and long, Mr. A. W. Thedinga helps to keep the wheels of Benton turning efficiently. He has a way about him that draws people to him for his counsel and he will advise any one in need of his assistance whenever and wherever he can. Our JVean of, QirU MR. A. W. THEDINGA Miss G. Marion Wilson is no doubt one of the most respected people at Ben- ton. She has won this great respect through the many years of service, hard work, time, and effort that she has put forth for her students. She is a friend to all and her winning, comforting way of handling problems that arise cannot be e- qualed. She never places herself before her pupils and this has made her the wonderful woman that the students of Benton High School look up to with such high regard. Our Counselor Mrs. Betty Tyson, our counselor this year, is a new face to the halls of Ben- ton. She has won the hearts of the faculty and the students through her friendly, heart-warming smile and understanding way. The students that have come in con- tact with her this year will agree that a person can go to her for help and guid- ance and not be turned away. MRS. BETTY TYSON MISS G. MARION WILSON

-Meet Our Principal ... MR. BOWEN MR. LOWELL K. BOWEN Some of the problems that Mr. Bowen has to cope with everyday as administrator of Benton High School, would make any average person throw up his hands in defeat. But, through his wisdom and knowledge, Mr. Bowen does his best to work out the difficulties that enter through the door of his office. His work does not end when the school day or school year ends, but his job keeps him busy after school hours and through the summer planning schedules, working out the instructual program, and making faculty assignments. During the day, he sometimes acts as counselor for those who wish to seek his ad- vice and opinion or approval on certain matters. His job as principal of Benton High School is a never ending one for he is always striving to keep our school the best one he can and trying to keep our best foot forward no matter where we are or what we are doing. For all his time consuming efforts, we the students thank our principal, Mr. Lowell K. Bowen. 14
