96 Lana and Wally Deasi Diasuf The 1960-61 year at Benton has been one that will long be remembered in the minds and cherished in the hearts of those who attended this school this year. It has been filled with sorrow, joy, and excitement that has never been equaled. The faculty, students, and even the school itself had a share in making this year the great success that it has been. The students who came to Benton for the first time this year, have a lot of fun, work, and new experiences ahead of them. With those leaving to make a place for themselves in the world, will go the feeling that they had lived the best years of their lives and the knowledge that they had taken part in their last football or basketball game, their last assembly program, and for some, the last year at school. Let’s follow Wally and Lana through the annual and relive some of the high points of this year. School St.

'Dedication, P B SPRINGER Mr. Springer attended Illinois University for one year and received his A.B. at 1 Benton, he taught at Grand Island, allege in Molten. All during his 34 years here, he tried to make his boys and students understand that winning was not all that counted in a game, but also how to accept defeat with the right attitude. Besides athletics. Pop taught commercial courses. His hobbies are fishing and golfing. Although he is an avid sports fan. he does not like hot dogs. Grand Island College in 1915.
