These might be good or evil, but whatever they are, they are making us what we are and will be. Every smallest stroke of vice or virtue will leave its never-to-be-forgotten im- pression. Nothing you do will ever be completely wiped out. If you keep building habits, born of thought each hour of the working day, you may safely leave the final result of education and life to itself. No way has been found for making heroism easy, even for the scholar. Labor, iron labor, is for him. Our Principal A Yearbook such as this is a prized possession of most high school pupils and graduates because it is the medium through which many of the fine and interesting experiences of school days are captured and retained. For years to come you who have purchased this book will periodically thumb through its pages with real pleasure, and perhaps a little nostalgia, as you recall the friends and experiences of your high school days. It is my hope that each one of you, as you relive the year 1959-'60 through the pages of this book, may not only experience pleasure, but have a real sense of satisfaction. May it have been a good year, one of worthwhile accomplishment, definite advance toward mental and emotional maturity and one during which worthwhile and more definite goals for the future were formulated and plans made for achieving those goals. 5
