Entering the regional tourney the Cardinals Went through to the second round, defeating Excelsior Springs, with Louis Kastner high point man roping in a total of twenty points. Kast- ner made eight field goals and four free tosses. Tworek and Gallagher played a fine offensive game. 37-17. I-lampered by the loss of Charles Mears, stellar guard, the Redbirds dropped their semi-final game to Central. Kastner, Mejia and Tworek were high pointers. 24-38.
