On October thirtieth, after we had collected an abundance of corn fodder and pumpkins in Alvin Sutliff's four adviser? fields, we were dropped off at Burr Appleman's where We enjoyed a Halloween party with the Seniors. There was a great debate upon selecting our class rings which made the coaches rumble and caused much disturbance among our fellow passengers. Every six weeks we published the Windbag, a successful newspaper of which we are very proud. After the Iunior and Senior Prom, our train will be stopped over for three months, and we shall board it again in September to finish the last lap of our journey in High School. After three months' vacation in the summer of nineteen hundred and thirty- six, we marched back, forty-seven strong, to our training camp, Benton High School. At our first class meeting, under the guidance of Mr. Saphore, our adviser, we organized with Goff Lawson, President: Helen Rhodomoyer, Vice- Presidentp Wilmadine Doak, Secretary: and Darcy Whitenight, Treasurer. Then we turned to curricular activities, fighting history dates, and grappling with congruent triangles. Meanwhile members of our class were prominent in orchestra, basketball, soccer, and clubs. Soon we approached our first dreaded siege, the six Weeks examinations, but We met and conquered the foe with very few casualties. ln keeping with the traditions of our school, we sponsored the Freshmen Initiation Party on November twentieth and were given a return party by the Freshmen on Ianuary twenty-second. On the memorable evening of February twenty-second We attended the all school party, a jolly evening of entertain- ment and fun. On Iune eleventh, with our Blue and White streamers intermingled with the Black and Orange of Benton High School, We will have completed the second year of our work at Benton High School.
