-I I1 LAC K AND ORANGE l . , S BASEBALL TEAM Uwing to the fact that we were able to raise some money by the sale of the -i'nrtis publication KS. li. P.. Country Gentleman. and L. H. .Ll and also the excellent support given the Minstrel. we are going to be able to carry on this year with our High School B. H. team. The public will note that the schedule has been reduced to some extent and no games are being played where any guarantee of any amount is required. While we note many other towns have had to drop this sport we in the H. S. want to say that in our opinion, we are only able to continue due to the great aid which the manage-ment of the town team has given us over a long period of years. and also that our local merchants have allowed us to buy our equipment at wholesale prices. For the past few years we have also cut the cost of transportating the var- ious teams by using cars of 'teachers and also cars of individuals in town. all of whom have given us the use of their machines. 4 We are glad now that we out d0XV1l expenses a few years ago and more or less prepared for this period, as it seems to us that we must give the pupils of our district some good clean things to do. particularly at this time, when temptations are before them at every hand.
