THE ORACLE JUNIOR CLASS POEM Here's to the class of 1920 Who've had trials and sorrows a-plenty But come what may We're always gay And take things in the usual way. Three long years we've done our best One year more then We will meet the test And though we are so dignified Here are the stunts that some have tried. There's our president Claude Moore Who still admires the Sophomore Neva more widely known as Skip To Jamison often takes a trip, Russel one night while trying to coast On the old Dug Road ran into a post. And Eva we cannot tell you how Received the drumming at Mr. Skow's. Max and Minard make us laugh With their wit and humor in every class. Ella the quietest of the bunch Sets an example for the rest of us. While Florence quite contrary to that Always with anyone ready to spat. Doyle who lives quite out of town Really would make a very good clown. Hilda likes to walk in the rain Lends him umbrellas, so he'll come again Willis and Donald are hard to beat And often get a change of seat. Elizabeth and Dorethea without faking Come to school to learn Home-Making. Ernest Our Darling is getting so tall That we all look up to see him at all. Helen the orator of the class Is a jolly, intelligent little lass. Harry is always so calm and cool And Paul has a habit of missing school. Two good chums are Reta and Bess And why they are you'll have to guess. There are many more things Which are left unsaid But we tell you this much So We don't class as Dead So here's to the J uniorsl Jolly, but not bold And this be our Motto For Blue and the Gold. -R. D. and B G 20

THE ORACLE TI-IE J UN IORS CLAUDE MOORE .................... Nick President of class '17, '18, '19, You can't take care of the brains you do got. We have never known our president to come to school without his lessons prepared. His main ambition in life is to be popular with the ladies. HILDA FRITZ ........................ Bill Secretary and Treasurer of class '19, Look girls, it's a man! There's more in this than meets the eye. Might well apply to Hilda, for although she is the tiniest person imaginable, she is a factor to be reckoned within the B. V. S. RUSSEL SHULTZ .................. Timid Editor of the Reminiscences '19, Swing on him like an eight day clock. Russel is one of our athletic enthusiasts. It is rumored that he is a little shy of the girls, and that he can handle a Ford as well as a married man can handle a go-cart. HELEN HESS ................. Hon Vice President '19. Oh Dear Me. Helen's aim in life is to be a stump speaker. Should any one desire to be cleaned up in tennis just play Helen. She is some tennis shark. Our Advertisers Made This Book Possible
