CLASS POEM Where is this place of high esteem, This place we call success; Where fondest dreams are realized, And troubles come to rest. We cannot see this haven clear, Our vision is too weak: But let us try to picture it, As on a distant mountain peak. Each peak will represent a goal, A chosen way of life; A challenge to the hardy souls, Who welcome work and strife. So keep in mind the final goal Is worth the work and time; So join the band of seekers bold, And pick your peak and climb. EARL KIKER Class Poet EARL KIKER GENE MORRIS, Senior, from Weaverville, North Carolina, entered Benton Heights High School on December 2, 19S2. 17
