We elected as our officers: Pete Phillips, President; Bobby Lancaster, Vice-President; Lillie Waldron, Secretary; and Ocelia Manning, Treasurer. In 1951 eleven cheerful Sophomores returned to B.M.H. S, We were in Miss Hailey ' s home ro om and our class officers were; Bobby Lancaster, President; Lillie Waldron, Vice-President; Shirley Schillen, Secretary; and Betty Sue Hale, Treasurer. This year we had a wiener roast at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. B. Rasnake, which we enjoyed very much. The autumn of 1952 found eight mischievous Juniors in Mr. Fariss ' home room. Our officers for the term were as follows; Bobby Lancaster, President; Shirley Schillen, Vice-President; Lillie Waldron, Secretary; and Velma Conner, Treasurer. Another of our girls joined us at mid-term, thus making our number nine. Because of the small number in our class we had to ask the Sophomores to help us out with our Junior Play, This Thing Called Love. Since we were Juniors it was our turn to give the Seniors a banquet. It was held in the Rainbow Room at Normandie Inn and we all had a delightful cele- bration. September 1953 brought six d ignified Seniors back to school to work to- ward our diplomas. We are in Mrs. Perkins ' home room. Our class Presi- dent is Bobby Lancaster and other officers are as follows; Judy Cruise, Vice- President; Lillie Mae Waldron, Secretary; Lois Simpson, Treasurer; Gertie Walters, Reporter. We have chosen our Senior Play, The Dizzy Dillons and are expecting it to work out well and profitably. We are planning to take a Senior trip to Washington just before our graduation in June, 1954. Class Will We, the Seniors of Bent Mountain High School, on this eleventh day of June in the year of our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-four, being of sound mind will our individual possessions as follows: I, Shirley Schillen, will my ability to get along with the teachers to Christine. I, Lois Marie Simpson, will my happy-go-lucky attitude to anyone who needs it. I, Judy Cruise, will my ability to keep quiet to all the loud mouths. I, Lillie Waldron, will my position as captain of the basketball team to the most deserving one. I, Gertie Walters, will my position as typist for the teachers to Jane Buckner. I, Bob Lancaster, being of soxind mind do leave Class Prophecy September 1964 Dear Gertie, I was pleased to hear that you like your work as a stenographer for one of Pulaski ' s better lawyers so well. I suppose it is a very interesting job to pursue aside from housekeeping. 1 am now secretary to the manager of the Roanoke City Mills and my husband and I live in an apartment here in town. Lois Marie paid me a surprise visit last week. She was home on va- cation from running her classy boarding house in Jacksonville, North Carolina. She had also stopped by to see Judy on the prosperous truck farm near Chase City, which she owns and manages. I received a letter from Bob yesterday to remind me of the class reunion this month. He is a teller in one of New York City ' s largest banks. Bob ' s letter informed me that Lillie Mae is now a physical education director in a high school and junior college in Oklahoma. I guess that ' s her dream come true. Well, so long, Gertie. Be sure to plan for our reunion soon.
