To Ms Edna Dooley who has fed many hungry tummies throughout her career and who, we know, works very hard to please the ap- petltles of over 625 monsters of all shapes and sizes. We wish to ex- press our gratitude to her for all her efforts in the lunch program and would like to commend her for her tremendous service to the community. To Mr Carl Spinden whose teach- ing expertise was greatly missed this year, but whose work as Assis- tant Principal was greatly appreci- ated. After one whole year of ask- ing students in the hall where they were headed, we hope he has fi- nally realized where he should be headed and where he is truly needed. We look forward to seeing Mr Spinden back in his classroom next year, once again sharing his unlimited supply of knowledge. To Mr Larry LeDoux who has the tremendous task of picking up after 300 messy kids. We would like to thank him for his depend- ability and for always being there when we need him — to open doors, to locate things, and most importantly, for just being a friend. 4 5 7 8 9 Shirley Barber Paul Barnes Nobuhird Abe Bill Allen Juanita Anderson Jay Ashcraft Eileen Berryman John Bono Terrye Bretzke Out into the world With memories Lynn Brundage 10 Allen Cook Paul Elder Patty Darrah Michael England Henry Durgah Terry Erikson David Evans Wanda Everson Francis Frausto Twelve years of building Bodies ... However, any Ju- nior or Senior is welcome. The pur- pose of the youth organization is to develop leadership, citizenship, so- cial skills, and professional growth in marketing occupations. The skills mentioned above as well as those skills needed in distributive occupa- tions are developed through contests, seminars, banquets, and dances at district state leadership confer- ences. Winners at the 1979 District Lead- ership Conference in Publo were Ge- rard Cortinez, first in Advertising Services; Dan Torres, 2nd place Gen- eral Merchandising; Pattie Eckert, fifth in Food Marketing; John Hol- comb, eighth in Merchandise Math. And Westinghouse Washers Pick-Up Service For Dry Cleaning (Tues. 9-am) 232 2nd Street, Las Animas Time Past Now Future Times are changing mighty fast And I’m trying to keep up with it But it isn’t easy when I always review The past in every single bit. I try to think about the present But those thought never seem to take hold. My mind slips away into a revelry Of great days of old. Everything seemed so simple then And there weren’t so many changes But that is all gone now, Because of the way time arranges. I love to remember the past. It was filled with so many good things, But now I must look to the future And accept whatever it brings. Is There a Future Is there a future Or is it really now? Things continue always Even though we don’t know how. Is now then or Is it yet to be? Perhaps we shall Just have to wait and see. Pam Hogue Special Thanks to KT Riggs, Kay DeMaio, Brian Bender, Helen Carr, and Pam Hogue OF 979 In our lives we’ve had some low times and some high times but of all our times the good times of ’79 were the best.
