The Annual Staff BENT COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL Las Animas, Colorado People have come a long way since the days of the Feudal System with its kings and knights and fair ladies, but the spirit of chivalry has lived through these thousand years. We have attempted to capture a bit of this aged way of life on the pages of the 1957 TROJAN. We hope you like it. jpvJrU PRESENT: Sponsored by LAS ANIMAS FURNITURE AUTOGRAPHS Sponsored by JOE BROOKS T. H. PICKENS Superintendent E. E. BRUEGEL Principal H. B. DUNNING Assistant Principal H. M. TROJAN SPIRIT Editors Note: Well, it looks as though we have more space than pictures so I'll have to think of something to fill the space at the bottom of this page so it won't look so bare and spoil the looks of the page because that wouldn't be the right thing to do at all, but I am having trouble thinking of anything to say of a worthwhile nature because I never was good at making extemporaneous speeches and things like that and it is quite a strain as I am sure you will all agree, so I thought I would say something witty or of great political weight, but there isn't much a guy like me can say about things like that that can be printed anyhow so I won't say any of those things either, and don't you think we are having lovely weather today, but it looks like it might dust, but to get back to the subject at hand, here comes Mr. Dunning and he looks real mad about something so I had better get back to work or he'll get a lot madder and since I'm running out of space and things to say anyhow I guess I won't say anything more except you had better quit chewing gum or Mrs. Crites might see you and then you would have to renew your subscription to the National Geographic.
