Fang Ming-Foong Just before Christmas of this year, Steve Robinson, editor of the TECH PEP, threw a project into action which called for the publication of a literary magazine and the adoption of a foster child utilizing the money raised through the sales of the magazine. The magazine, the BEN-SUN, was distributed, and Fang Ming-Foong was adopted through the Christian Children's Fund. Fang Ming-Foong is a twelve year old girl who lives on Formosa, an island which is, at this time in history, a country of significant importance to international security. Fang's father was killed in battle action. Her mother has tried her best to support her children: but she couldn't make ends meet. So, thanks to Benson Polytechnic School, Fang has been given the opportunity she needs to pull herself out of the rut in which so many people in her country find themselves stuck. Thanks to the generous gift which our school have given her, she has been receiving food, clothing, education and any other things which she might need in order to cope with her poverty-stricken life. The magazine which has been successfully published is the first of its kind at Benson. Last year Steve Robinson unsuccessfully attempted to publish one similar to it, but the thing which helped it to be successful this year was the cooperation received from Benson students.
