Benson's AFS Student From Norway Helge Singsaus April 29, l966 To the Benson Student Body: As my year here now quickly is coming towards an end, I can start looking back at what I can frankly say has been one of the most wonderful and valuable experiences of my life. As this year has been coming along, far too fast, l more and more have realized how very fortunate I have been to become the AFS student here at Benson. When over in Norway I first heard that I was going to an all boy's school, being used to a coeducational school at home, was something that made me a little worried , . , I-low on earth was I to prosper and develop myself with no girls around? However, I had not been at Benson long until l understood aspects about this school lthat l realizedl that I could rather consider myself privileged in having been enrolled in the Benson student body. It is sad thinking of the fact that I will be leaving in less than two months, and will have to say farewell to all the great friends l have made here at Benson, students as well as teachers. l want to thank you all for your friendship and for having helped in making this such a wonderful year for me. Some day, maybe some of you will find an opportunity to come and visit my country, and l certainly hope that you will come and see me and give me a chance to pay back some of my debt to you Your friend and AFS classmate, l-lelge Sinssaas tNorway'l
