Johnson with a guilty look. L. H. Parrish not sending notes across the room this year. Delores Stewart ' s one man policy. WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF: Laynelle Penny missed the Honor Roll a month? Mr. Barefoot failed to give any home- work in Economics? Paul Jr. ' s strip down completely broken down? We had no drug store? Ermaline Register couldn ' t get library books to read? Catherine Gaskins missed a day of school? Ernestine Parrish missed see- ing Bus No. 19 come in, in the morning? Miss Lassiter left Benson? 14

PROPHECY Jessie Belle Barbour who was always so alert is employed in the Drug Store as a soda jerk. Iva Lee Beasley never saw a moment that was sad, has now become a wife which isn ' t at all bad. J. B. Benton who was our newspaper boy, now is an editor which is his joy. Carol Byrd, the president of the class, is being wanted by a cute little lass. We knew Edna Coats as a basketball player, now in her own universe she ' s much gayer. James Vance Creech who worked at the theater, now has shows of which he is the creator. Rosalie Denning the prettiest in the school, isn ' t going to be anybody ' s fool. Harmon Dixon a dentist always his aim, is now killing and drilling, oh, what a shame! Catherine Gaskins with a desire to be a beautician, is skilled and thrilled as a musician. J. E. Johnson a successful business man, for his children is making all the money he possibly can. Paul Johnson, Jr., a prosperous millionaire, sits back with his champagne with- out any care. Charles Levinson as neat as can be had as a lawyer is arguing like mad. Virginia McLamb a business course her choice, now as a stenographer works with dignity and poise. Henry Morgan is a well known person in the bank, because he holds the highest rank. Earnestine Parrish with her desire now lives in a little white house on a curve. L. H. Parrish, as industrious as anyone can be, sells autos and happy is he. Roy Penny, who ' s a driver of the school bus number fourteen, has now left Benson and is nowhere to be seen. Eloise Pleasant, as cute as can be has won her way in the world and joyous is she. Ruth Raynor, who always wanted to be a good wife, now has the ambition of her life. Ermaline Register, a person who liked to read books, now is living a life which has no crooks. We remember Mary Rose Smith as a very neat girl, her job as a seamstress today keeps her in a whirl. Annie Ruth Sorrell with a desire to be a nurse contents herself writing prose and verse. Delores Stewart so frisky and fine always had a definite line. Benton Stephenson with all his pep and cheer, has graduated from State as an engineer. Kyle Stephenson, sincere, loyal, and true is hardly ever in the blue. W. D. Stephenson whom his classmates knew as Dub, has made a great success in life without hitting a stub. Marguerite Tart the wittiest of the class, is working at a station pumping up gas. Geraldine Wheeler not at all shy, she ' s now in Washington with the FBI. The only jewelry man from our class Jene Wheeler has a store up town and repairs watches galore. Earlene Whittington, who was a saleswoman of knives, now is the happiest of all the wives. 16
