L CLASS PROPHECY One day as I was visiting in the city of Los Angeles, it started to rain and if you know the kind of rain they have there, you also know that the best thing you can do is take cover in some friendly person's house Nell, I ran down the street as fast as I could, stopping only when I came to a cute little white cottage with the name 'Richard printed on the door It looked like a very friendly person living there, because everything was so neat and well kept that lt just shone with friendliness, even through the dismal rain and smog KSmog you know is half fog and half smokel Running to the door knocked very lightly, I waited and no answer, I knocked again, still no answeg again I knocked, again and again, each time harder than the preceding one Finally 'MW in this my temper got the better of me, after all, here I was getting soaked terrible rain, when I could be inside of that nice warm house, and to top it all, I knew someone was home, because I could hear him moving around 'M inside Becoming very disgusted I yelled, nRichard, Oh Richard, Open that door, Oh, come on Richard, open that door, and let me in Still no answer X Pounding with all my might and yelling at the top of my lungs, nOpen the doon Richsrd,n I made a sorrowful looking sight Finally I heard a very small voice say through the door, nI can t, the key's in the mall box Running to the mail box I found the key Quickly I ran back to the house XX 'XX Q' . .. . ,, , P4 ,. . He replied, 'Well, doggne it, I was thinking you were Kilroy, and, by gosh, I don't want that guy here at my place Letting the matter drop, I set forth to making myself quite at home First of all, I wanted to look around the house This I started to do at once when to my surprise, I found that the only thing that Richard had in hm house, were doors, yes, doors, lots of them bince by nature, I an a very curious person, I decided to open the doors to find out what was behind them Looking around, I decided to open a door that was the loveliest door I had ever seen It was painted a lovely pastel shade of lavender, and it had a bright pink door knob that was made of heavy velvet I opened it, and no won- der it was such a lovely door for guess who was behind it, none other than my old girl friend, Mary Thomas, but she isn't known as that any more She goes by her stage name which is 'Charging Charlotte and incidently she may be seen playing in the recent million dollar broadway stage production uShe Always 1.1 11 X. lla. k lu.'lh. l.'Wl..'k'lIs.'N. X XX XX Gets a B1ll.H Glanoing around, I noticed a cute green and white striped door to my left Walking over to it 1 opened it and walked in. To my surprise, I discovered I was at the HTry and Get it Backu race track. I bought a racing form and tha n at the top of the list, with l5-l odds was the name of my old friend and chum uLight Horse Edna , wife of the late Ralph Goff, orginator of the indoor go game Edna has been making quite a large sum of money, winning races She now owns a large estate in the South and has over fifteen good racing horses Her favorite, is nBones Leaving the track, I walked through a plain ordinary door Once on the other side I knew I was emerging upon the business world I started walking down the street when to my surprise 1 was stopped and was asked to show my walkinv permit I said I had none Just as he was about to take me away to jal an immense ca that ha two chauffeurs drove dp The pe son in the back seat called to the policeman to let me go I walked over to the car, looked in, ard nearly ell over, for of all people to see at that time, it was my good friend Lloyd Geiken, I got in and we went for a ride I asked him a lot of questlons from which I found out, that after spending one year at the city college in Los Angles, he came back to Rutland and started going with Mary Kay again Soon after, he married her, and eventually took over her father' grain business It was the old story of money and of home Lloyd, being a very good business man, kept gaining more and more power, until at last he owned all of Joodford County and just recently bought the city o Peoria Fda a nice tyrant though, he allows everyone a permit to walk, and gives everyone the same salary By the way, he pays them pretty much, S7 a month, if single S9 a month,1f married, and all of S14 a month, if they have over 6 children Incidently, Lloyd has twelve children of his own I always knew Lloyd would one day be a big business tycoon which I did promptly I left by the beautiful and immense front door of the Geiken Iansion I do believe it was the biggest door I had ever seen must have been at least So feet high and l5 feet wide Ihe door krob on it was a solid 556,000 carat diamond I turned the knob and walked through the other side I at once noticed I had emerged upon a beautiful garden that had a darling white cottage in the center of it Ohl It was sdch a lovely gardax that I was very anxious to flnd out who lived hens I walke around awhile, 'Il 1.1 'RR 1 1 - M I 'N 'ls 3'-2 I' ' E .
