a little painful-sunburns! Gasps were heard from some of the audience when the curtain rose on the May 25rd banquet. Did we look that good? murmured one startled senior to the one sitting next to him. The following scenes made them remember what a good time they had had at their banquet, which had Dreams as its theme. They also remembered John Haury's wit as toastmaster speaking to the tune of lf There Were Dreams to Sell, What Would You Buy? and speeches given by Phyllis Vance, Joan Benson, William Hamsa, and Donald Warner with Theres a Long, Long Trail Awinding Into the Land of My Dreams, The House of Dreams in Wfhich I Live, A Change Came Oler the Spirit of My Dreams, and ln the World of Dreams I Have Chosen My Part, as their respective titles. The inspiring speeches, All Men of Action Are Dreamers, and Art Is Required to Sort and Understand Our Dreams, given by Assistant Super- intendent Leon Smith and Principal Earl Schroer, respectively, were also recalled. The chuckling was immediately dispensed with when the curtain rose and their Bac- calaureate at Dundee Presbyterian church, june 3, with Dr. Emory Luccock speaking, was enacted. The next act contained a group of people and some steps leading to a stage on the stage. The seniors thought a mistake must have been made until it dawned on them that this scene was of the Technical High auditorium and the people filing up the stairs were the '5lers, a little sad and more than a little happy to be receiving their diplomas on june 6. The curtain rose for the last time with Miss Fsther Weitkamp, Miss Lucille Barbe, Mrs. Helen Maynard, and Miss Bertie Hoag. senior sponsors, in a miniature football huddle. Suddenly Miss W'eitkamp broke the charmed circle and declared excitedly, Yes, yes, that's itg welll write a book about the class of '51, they bubbled as they hurried off the stage busily making plans. Amid a thundering ovation the Benson barker finally managed to declare, We hope you have enjoyed our GS Capers because we certainly enjoyed all the time and effort spent to give you this show.
