Dave Nelson won the vice-presidency by a wide margin and Carol Petersen was elected to the secretarial position and Bob Chambers won a closely contested race for the treasurers pisition. This year the gridsters did it with a 14-6 win. Things were a little different the next Friday evening as the South High Packers handed the Bunnies a 14-6 loss. Traveling to Fre- mont the team met one of the state powers. played their best game of the season, and emerged on top 7-0. All was not joy in Benson however as Rich Olson, starting quarterback, was sidelined for the season with a knee injury. The next two games saw the Cottontails fall twice 26-0, Tech did it on Oct. IO, and Thomas jefferson performed the trick the next week. In the next game Benson was a winning team for three quarters, but the fourth quarter saw the team falter before a twenty point spurt of North, and the game ended up 20-6 in favor of the Vikings. At Shenandoah, Iowa, playing in a constant drizzle. the team came home with a 7-0 win. The last game of the season saw the squad lose I2-6 to Lincoln Northeast.
