CLASS MEMORIES The year 1952 is a memorable one in the lives of the graduating class of 1955. For this was the year we began our four years of high school. In 1952, as freshmen, we elected Roger Logan and Pat Dolan to represent our class as banner bearers at the Homecoming festivities. Two of the high- lights of our freshman year were our visits to the Ford gar age and to the REA plant. As sophomores, we served the juniors and seniors at the annual Junior - Senior Banquet. The girls, dressed in pastel skirts and peasant blouses, and the boys, with their berets helped to carry out the theme of Springtime in Paris. Field trips in biology were also a part of our sophomore year. The next year we, as juniors, were hosts to the seniors at the Junior-Sen- ior Banquet. Stardust was the theme and was carried out down to the smallest detail. Norma Nokleby, our president that year, did a grand job as Mistress of Ceremonies. We selected our class rings and anxiously awaited their ar- rival. Our Junior Class Play was Young Lincoln, and the cast did a fine job. B. H. S. was represented at Girls' State by Lorna Underthun and at Boys' State by Pat Dolan. And then came our long-awaited senior year! Queen Norma and King Pat reigned over the 1955 Homecoming. The attendants were Sharon Syverson, Verna Skarsten, Joan Vergin, Karen Bartz, Dick Whitaker, Craig Johnson, Lump Bronniche, and Harlan Danner. Our Senior Class Piay, The Little Minister, was a big success. During our senior year, some of the boys sud- denly took an interest in commercial sign painting. Their interest, however, was short-lived. The day of graduation was nearing. The question was: What am I going to do after graduation? Many of the seniors have their plans made, and those who don't will know within a year or two. But no matter what they plan to do in life, the training they have received at B.H. S. will be a con- stant aid to them. We know the class of '55 will go forward, achieving their goals and making their lives successful in every way possible. 14 CAROLYN ANDERSON Library Club; Class Play Committee; Hobbies: Drawing, Photography DONALD ANDERSON Andy - Freshman Foot- ball; Sr. Class Play; Hobbies: Hunting, Roller- skating PATRICIA LOU ANDERSON Patty Lou - Chorus; G. The gypsy girl has been the leader of uprisings among the factory workers against their poor wages and working conditions. Although atfirst the parish was greatly disturbed, they soon accepted the fact of the young couple's marriage, and thus gave the play a happy ending. TRAP THE TIGERS Homecoming was filled with excitement, joy and tears this year. Color Day began the annual festive days, with the selling of beanies, varsity sticks and homecoming buttons. Coronation brought on whispers and curiosity seekers. This year, the King and Queen were not known until Mr. Mogck opened an envelope which concealed the names of the King and Queen, the night of Coronation, Thursday. A 121 inch TV screen was the setting for the coronation program, complete with advertising and a talent show. Trap the Tigers, was the slogan carried out on the floats in the parade, Friday afternoon. Tears of sorrow expressed a turn in the slogan, as Morris Tigers defeated the Benson Braves. 71 STARDUST The juniors were hosts at the May 15 Banquet with the theme as Stardust. The processional entered the banquet paradise of stars, clouds, and planets to the strains of Stardust, played on the piano by Barbara Frieberg. Dew Drops, Bird of Paradise, Milky Way, Fullmoon Salad, Capricorn, Clouds and Stardust, Heavenly Dessert, Moonshine and Falling Stars composed the menu. Little Dipper, junior class president Norma Nokleby, was mistress of ceremonies. The programme including a vocal solo by The Twinkling Star, Verna Skarsten, a selection by the Northern Lights, the cornet trio, a faculty duet by the Stardusters, and a number by the boys' octette, the Milky Way.
