Still, too, there have been times of serious- ness and hard work. As freshmen we elected Elaine Chevalier, Roger Ahrndt, Florine Rittenour, and Glen Kottke as class officers. Roger and Glen were also our banner bearers for Homecoming. When we were sophomores, our class officers were, Jerry Jossart, Ed O'Brien and Jean Klucas. This year ■we served for the Southern Plantation banquet. As juniors we came into the limelight with selling con- cessions at games, our class play, Meet Me in St. Louis, and our banquet, Dude Ranch. Our class officers were Jean Klucas, Charlene Connolly, Jerry Jossart, and Elaine Chevalier. We elected Jean Klucas to Girls' State and Jerry Jossart was delegated to Boys' State. At last we became efficient seniors and took over the editorship of the Gopher's Whistle and Chippewa. We presented the play Pride and Prejudice . Florine Rittenour and Ed O'- Brien reigned over the Homecoming festivities. Choosing our rings, an- nouncements, and taking our pictures have all led to the end of our school days. As we look back, we see that there is much we have gained, and it is with gratitude to our advisors we leave the halls of Benson High.
