Richard Fisk, known to all his friends as Dicky, would this year have beena B .C .H .S . sophomore. ln hisfreshman year, among other things, he was class president and chosen for High- light's Who 's Who. He was also on the fresh- men basketball team. Like most boys his age, Dicky was interested in cars and sports. His main ambition, though, was to be a doctor, for which he was studying under his father's supervision. He was tops in more than one way. ln studies he was a consistent honor student. Dicky had many friends and was well liked by everyone who knew him. Shortlyafter school let out, Dicky left and didn't return. He was sick, too sick to come back to school. During the summer Dicky's life was slowed down quite a bit and then he was forced to watch the sports he loved instead of taking part in them. Dicky saw Christmas and the New Year come in and then his struggle For lite ceased on January 24. But even though he isn't with us, his memory will linger in his town and school, and most of all in the minds and hearts of those who knew him. Fair Science frowned not on his humble birth And Melancholy marked him for her own. Large was his bounty, and his soul sincere, Heav'n did a recompense as largely send: He gave to Misery all he had, a tear, He gained from Heaven Ctwas all he wishedl a friend. No farther seek his merits to disclose, Or draw his frailties from their dread abode QThere they alike in trembling hope reposej The bosom of his Father and his God. --Thomas Gray
